A matching service, not a contractor

Shelby County Septic is an introduction, referral, and matching service. We are not a septic contractor, we do not perform any trade work, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a professional matched through this site.

The professionals

Professionals matched through this site are independent businesses, solely responsible for their own quotes, work, licensing, insurance, and warranties. Before a professional can receive a first request through this site, they must complete our document check — the Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board (AOWB) license applicable to the requested work, plus a current insurance certificate — and confirm that they charge nothing for the quote itself. Any agreement for work is directly between you and the professional. Always confirm a professional's license and insurance before work begins.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee that a professional will claim your request, any particular response time, any price, or the outcome of any work. Price ranges shown on this site are published budgeting ranges only — not a quote, bid, or guarantee.

Cost to you

The service is free for homeowners, and requesting a quote creates no obligation to hire anyone. Professionals may pay us for the matching service.

Your responsibilities

Provide accurate information in a request, and evaluate any professional and quote for yourself before agreeing to work. You are free to accept or reject any quote.

Acceptable use

Use this site lawfully and for genuine requests. Do not submit false or misleading requests, attempt to disrupt or overload the service, or use it to harvest other people's information.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Alabama law, Shelby County Septic is not liable for the work, pricing, or conduct of any professional, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this site or a match made through it. Disputes about work performed are between you and the professional who performed it.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the current version will always be posted on this page. Alabama law governs these terms. Questions: [email protected].
